SLB Flex is our flexible benefit program and is administered through the My Benefits Portal website. SLB Flex offers comprehensive and competitive coverage to you and your family and represents best practices in employee benefits. The plan reflects the company’s commitment to flexibility and choice, delivering value for money with benefit options that let you match your coverage to your personal needs.
SLB provides all eligible employees with $300 in flex dollars and flex dollars based on the options you choose and who you cover. These flex dollars will offset (or fully cover) the options you choose.
The plan includes three extended health care options and four dental care options, each offering a varying degree of coverage. If you choose the most comprehensive options, you will share in their cost through payroll deductions; however, if you have low to average extended health and/or dental care needs, your flex dollars will likely cover the full cost of your extended health and/or dental care coverage. No matter which option you choose, you have out-of-country emergency medical coverage. This is your chance to make the most of your dollars by declining coverage you don’t need. Remember, excess flex dollars go to a personal spending account or extended health care spending account –more funds for your everyday needs!
There are several tools and resources to help you choose your benefit options. If you have questions, you can call the Benefits Centre toll-free at 1-866-557-5222. It’s open Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Mountain time). You can also get more information in the FAQs and through the Sun Life website or the Sun Life Mobile App.
Enrolling is easy.
If it’s your first time enrolling, you will see the SLB Flex default coverage with the corresponding flex dollars, prices and payroll deductions:
- If you change your coverage, the amounts will change accordingly.
- If you do not enroll by your deadline, you will be enrolled in the default coverage automatically.
The choices you make during enrollment will be in effect from your start date until the end of the year. You can make changes for the new benefits year (starting January 1) at our next annual enrollment period. If you are hired after the annual enrollment period, you will first enroll for the current year’s benefits and will then immediately be prompted to enroll for the following year.
