Staying connected to your savings is the best way to make sure you’ll have enough to meet your retirement goals. It’s easier than ever thanks to Sun Life’s tools and services. Do it yourself online, call Sun Life for help, or meet with an advisor.

Manage your plan online quickly and easily by logging into Sun Life or the my Sun Life mobile app.

Trouble logging in? Sun Life > Sign-in help.
Find your comfort level with investment risk by completing the Asset allocation tool. Select my financial centre > Resource Centre > my money tools > Asset allocation tool. After you complete the short questionnaire, this tool recommends an investment mix that matches how much investment risk you’re comfortable with.
To get detailed tools through Morningstar®, a leading provider of investment news and analysis, select my financial centre > Accounts > Investment performance. Select a fund’s name for more detailed information or use the tabs at the top of the page for more advanced tools.

The Retirement planner helps you figure out how much you need to save to meet your personal retirement goals. We save the information you enter, so you can review it any time to monitor your progress. To use this tool, select my financial centre > Resource Centre > my money tools > Retirement planner.
To update your payroll contributions, investments and beneficiaries, see the steps in the chart below.

  • Select Requests > Payroll contributions.
  • Review how much you’re currently contributing and make changes as needed
  • Select Submit.
  • Select Request > Change investments.
  • Choose whether to change only future contributions, only existing savings or both.
  • Choose what percentage you want to direct to each available fund.
  • Copy these instructions to other products if you want.
  • After reviewing your changes, select Submit.
  • Select Quick Links > Beneficiary info.
  • Review your current beneficiary information.
  • If you want to make a change, select Edit, following the instructions and select Update to save your changes.
  • After reviewing your changes, select Submit.
  • It’s always a good idea to talk to someone who specializes in financial planning. Sun Life offers two ways to get personalized help:
  • If you need help choosing your investments, get free advice over the phone right away. Sun Life offers personal, unbiased advice about the investment choices available in your plan.
  • Or meet with a Sun Life advisor in person who will answer your questions and help you manage your plan.
  • Call Sun Life at 1-877-736-4741 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET every business day or sign in to Sun Life and select Find a Sun Life advisor.
If you’ve transferred out of Canada, your money will stay in Canada as part of the plan. While you won’t be able to make any new contributions, your money will continue to earn investment income and you’ll still be able to manage your plan online.
If you move outside the country and you need to register for Sun Life, pick Canada as your country and use the generic postal code M1M 1M1.
